December 1st
We know just how important that first hot cup of tea or coffee is. Our doors will open every single morning and our guests will be welcomed with their choice of drink. This year we have chosen to offer our hot drinks within a reusable flask. We wanted to ensure our impact to the environment remains positive as well as making sure our guests' choice of drink stays warm even after they have left our centre.

One of our most popular requests from our guests is a carrier bag. But as we all know, these bags can become worn out quite easily. This year we have chosen to giveaway a durable, reusable canvas bag to all our guests. This gives them a safe place to store their personal belongings.

Our advice centre exists to empower, inform and enable our guests to rebuild their lives. It provides the anchor that some of our guests need in building basic life-skills, which we can sometimes take for granted. We provide free, confidential advice regarding housing issues, prevention, hostel and night shelters, addiction, benefits, settled status and much more. We will be around for as long as our guests need us.

This year especially we know how it important it is to fill our Centre with some spirit. We feel it is our duty to make our guests feel valued, cared for and welcomed, not just during Christmas, but every day of the year

This year lockdown provided us with the opportunity to review and build on our existing services. In 2020 the Mission's computer suite was built. We are so grateful to the supporters who helped to make this possible. With your continued support we are excited to offer a range of IT based workshops in the coming future.

Your gifts help to restore broken lives and broken families all year-round, providing homeless men and women with hot meals, safe shelter, and hope. But at Christmas, your generosity gives them something more here at The Whitechapel Mission, a taste of family and the love we all crave. Thank you!
