We would like to offer a very special thank you to the 198 people who support the Whitechapel Mission through a Standing Order from their bank or through their credit card.
Regular Giving is very important to sustaining the work of the Mission and we could do with a few more people donating by Standing Order.
Could you afford £3 a month?
And a further thank you to the 1,783 people who have gift-aided their donations to the Whitechapel Mission this year.
Gift-aid added a further £14,373 to donations this year.
Lucy Sweeney - French Riviera Marathon
For some mad reason i've decided to run the French Riviera Marathon on the 4th November. That's right, i'll be dragging my little legs all the way from Nice to Cannes for fun and more importantly, bragging rights.
I've decided to fundraise for Whitechapel Mission as homelessness hits a record high in London and the UK and with winter fast approaching they need our help more than ever. So please donate to this important cause and as a thank you I promise i'll stop going on about running.
Taking part in The Great South Run
I volunteered one morning a few weeks ago on the Breakfast shift. I was on tea/coffee making duties, and the kind, humorous, mostly polite "clients" I served that morning totally opened my eyes to what I envisage as a homeless person and left me feeling very humble.
So if you feel you would be able to give a little to help this great organization then I would be very grateful as I know they undoubtedly will be too.
