Bringing hope where there is despair
The staff and trustees of the Whitechapel Mission have always been committed to protecting your privacy. Sadly, not all charities and companies have behaved with the same professional attitude and this has led to new data protection legislation being introduced from May 2018.

When you book a volunteering challenge, we need to know your name, address, email address, answers to any questions required to ensure you have the best day possible, and a telephone number (preferably mobile) so that we can contact you if there are any last-minute changes to your challenge. We will also email you answers to any Online booking questions submitted and responses to booking date requests.
When you make a donation we use a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, as required by the UK Data Protection Legislation, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information you have given us, to prevent unauthorized access. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we are able to disclose sensitive information to you.
